At a time when we are all feeling the distance between ourselves and our loved ones, we thought that the perfect customer for us to shine our spotlight on was BearHugs. BearHugs allow you to send a ‘Hug in a Box’ to your loved ones, even when they’re out of arms’ reach.
Originally founded by owner, Faye following her diagnosis of Lyme Disease, BearHugs is a company based around sending gifts to friends when they need it most. The company first started when Faye herself received a thoughtful care package from her friend following her diagnosis. Having been unable to leave the house as often, this gift in the post was enough to completely turn her day around, and this was the moment that planted the seed for BearHugs.
After enrolling on the Enterprise Programme run by the Prince’s Trust, Faye was able to formulate a plan for the business and create the first ‘Hug in a Box’ hampers. After having her house overrun by ‘hug supplies’, Faye soon moved the company into a bigger space and took on some additional team members to help pack their hugs.
Each BearHugs box is hand-packed by the Bearhugs team and features the outstretched paws of their bear, ready to hug the recipient. This is paired with the line ‘Consider this a BearHug’ on the interior of the box to ensure their recipient is greeted with a feeling of warmth and love. The company offer both ‘off-the-shelf’ Bearhug Boxes or allow customers to create their own personalise ‘Hug in a Box’ hamper filled with the perfect treats for whoever may need them.
Earlier this year, BearHugs reached out to us to provide them with two of their signature mugs; the ‘BearHug in a Mug’ and the ‘Little Brew to Get You Through’ Mug. Each of these mugs were screenprinted in two beautifully subtle colours to suit the companies style , and used a Durham mug which are one of our best-selling styles due to their large print area and comfortable large loop handle. These mugs are perfect for snuggling up with one of BearHugs hot drinks and some sweet treats filled with love.
